AmCon is changing to ReadyCorps. What hasn’t changed is our mission: To build stronger, better-prepared families and neighborhoods across America.
Why the change?
The new ReadyCorps identity emphasizes a proactive posture: living out daily preparedness, not just planning for a worst-case scenario. Instead of preparing alone, our new focus is on taking action together—as families, neighbors and local teams working side by side to build everyday resilience.
What ReadyCorps represents
ReadyCorps signals a shift from an individual, contingency mindset to a collaborative, community-first approach to preparedness. Our new tagline, “Strong Families. Connected Neighborhoods. Real Hometowns.” captures the heart of the mission: if families are solid and neighbors are connected, communities can withstand almost anything.
The same 12 critical categories of preparedness — ranging from Communication to Outdoor Skills, to Homesteading and everything in between — remain at the core of what members learn and practice. Members will continue to receive daily news analysis, online and instructor-led training and actionable how‑to content that supports situational awareness and confident decision-making in uncertain times.
What this means for members
Existing members keep all the benefits they rely on: news feeds, forums, courses and opportunities to connect with like‑minded people across the country. Local groups and chapters are being refocused into Neighborhood Teams, making it easier for families to plug in at the local and community level.
Whether you are just getting started or looking to level up, ReadyCorps is designed to make preparedness more accessible, family-friendly and actionable than ever.
What this means for those who aren’t members
Our approach to helping you become better prepared will provide you with informed, common-sense knowledge and skills that not only prepare you for the future, but enrich your everyday life.
We give you step-by-step actions to take based on your unique environment and circumstances by helping you see through the fog of possibilities and focusing on improving your preparedness in the areas that make the most sense for you.
If you’re ready to help build stronger families and more prepared neighborhoods, this is your invitation to join us! Visit https://readycorps.net to sign up.

Hello Lori@freebirdie and Everyone on AmCon HAM Radio Network,
I have been a Tech for a long while and just upgraded to General about 6 months ago.
I am looking for a community where I can learn about being a HAM Radio Operator, in my area and further out; if my 100 watt station can "make the tip".
